Automatic hardness tester studied to be inserted in production lines for high speed Brinell HBWT hardness measurements in compliance with ASTM, ISO and JIS. MRS JET 3000 has been studied to be used on conveyors and robotized lines with PLC remote control. The motorized measuring head has a long vertical stroke and moves automatically down to make contact with the sample's surface (AFFRI system). MRS JET 3000 is supplied with a wide touchscreen for a easy management of the software and testing cycles in production lines. Load forces are applied through load cells and electronically controlled in Closed Loop (Pat. Affri). Exact hardness result on the first test, absolute accuracy (better than 0.5 %) in every condition. Hardness tests on all metals in accordance with Brinell test method: iron, steel, tempered steel, cast iron, brass, aluminum, copper and metal alloys.
